What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Magical Complications?
When I initially decided to start writing in the Paranormal Women’s Fiction genre, I developed a group of friends that went through a midlife magical crisis and this book is from Aislinn’s point of view when her crisis hits its peak.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Magical Complications, what would they be?
“Exchange” by Bryson Tiller.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Anything fantasy and paranormal.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
I am currently reading the latest KF Breene release and will move on to the next Lia Davis and LA Borouf in their Packless in Seattle series.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
The scene where the three friends are magically kidnapped from the bookstore and sent to some unknown caves.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I have to have an energy drink next to me (even if I’m not drinking it) and a rerun of one of the classic paranormal shows on in the background.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Dream Big! I believe in always setting your goals high and never quitting.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
I want readers to remember to never stop fighting. Whatever life throws your way, try and find a way to survive. My mother taught me that during her fight against cancer. She never gave up and lived her life to the fullest until the end.
