What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Snap, Zap, Murder?
We (aka Alyce and Harvey Goldberg) are always looking for new ways to murder our poor victims. Our son just bought a new exercise bike. He said it was a killer. We took him up on that.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I love mysteries. Alyce likes the Reacher novels.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
I rarely have a TBR pile. As I finish one book, I go looking for the next read. Something usually catches my eye.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
Where Milo’s mind lint kicks in and he figures out the motive for the murder while on a zoom call.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I have to eat when I write. Alyce does the entire dialogue of a scene, while I am making a correction, and then she forgets most of it.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Never trust a naked bus driver… with a nod to Jack Douglas.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
A number of readers tell us they go to sleep thinking about living in Milo’s mansion, Lakesong. That’s perfectly okay with us.
