What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Tales of Reverba: A New Ripple?
Back in college, when I went through a serious depression and one of the few things I enjoyed was writing or creating fantasy worlds. I’ve always enjoyed doing it but during this time it was one of my few joys. This inspired me to flush out the world a bit more and write Tales of Reverba: A New Ember which is the first book of this series, and naturally, I followed it up with the second book Tales of Reverba: A New Ripple. I also wanted to show other viewpoints that New Ember couldn’t touch on, which allowed me to breathe more life into the world.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Tales of Reverba: A New Ripple, what would they be?
You are a pirate – Lazy Town.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Fantasy and yes it is!
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
G.R.R Martin – Fire and Blood, and Lisa Jackson – Running Scared.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
When the prisoners managed to secure the ship.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
Listening to music while sometimes slipping into a daydream about the scene I’m writing. Sometimes I even act out a scene just to make sure it “feels” right.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Just be a good person.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Follow your dreams but don’t be blinded by them.
