Brené Brown, author of the New York Times bestsellers The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead, has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame and empathy as a research professor at the University of Houston. And now she has entered into a new endeavor, “Unlocking Us,” a podcast featuring “conversations that unlock the deeply human part of who we are, so we can live, love, parent, and lead with more courage and heart.”
Brown’s message is one of self-acceptance and authenticity, living and being unapologetically in the world. Says Brown, “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.” Her work is all about gathering and leveraging that courage to stand tall and be who we are — with all the vulnerability that entails — imperfections and failures and all.
