Both of these DC villains have appeared in live-action form on the big screen before. Deathstroke, an elite mercenary and assassin, appeared briefly in Zack Snyder’sJustice League, where he was played by Joe Manganiello. (His part was somewhat expanded inZack Snyder’s Justice League.) Manganiello’s version of the character would have appeared in Ben Affleck’s solo Batman film, which never got made. (The project eventually transformed intoThe Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as a totally different Dark Knight.)

Batmen, Jokers, Men of Steel and everyone in between — here are the best performances ever in DC Comics movies.

Jason Momoa, Aquaman (2018)”,”photo-description”:”
Yeayuhh! Earthy Jason Momoa was a left-field choice to play Aquaman, a DC hero typically portrayed in comics as a regal lord of the depths. But you know what? Left-field choices are sometimes the best choices. Momoa and director James Wan (not to mention Zack Snyder) zoned in on the kind of Aquaman Momoa would be a good fit for: A kind of pirate hooligan warrior, one who’d save some whales from an oil spill and then maybe spill some Jagermeister at the whale-rescue afterparty. In the DC Extended Universe, where things were awfully angsty, Momoa brought some much needed comic relief along with his muscular presence. Now it’s hard to imagine an Aquaman who doesn’t howl for joy when he leaps into battle.
