Devilworks has released the official teaser trailer for Hansel & Gretel’s Halloween, horror fantasy feature film, written by Chris Hoyt (The Adventures Of Jurassic Pet, Dinosaur World, The 7 Dwarves). Directed by Marcus Mallard and Logan Walcher, the ensemble cast stars Christy Tate (Lifetime’s Murder and Mayhem at Mardi Gras) as Amelia/Witch, Griffin Edge as Hansel, Alexia Berry as Gretel.

Hansel & Gretel’s Halloween tells the story of how on Halloween night, six teens enter a candy-coated labyrinth from the tale of Hansel & Gretel, where a deadly Witch turns temptation into traps-and resisting the sweetest lure is their only way out.

“Hansel & Gretel’s Halloween is a Devilworks original—we developed the concept in-house and fully financed and executive produced the film. We brought in Chris Hoyt to write the screenplay, and partnered with Marcus Mallard at Mouldy Rogue Productions and Logan Walcher at Proxima Bear Production to direct and produce.” – Devilworks

“We took a story everyone thinks they know and gave it a wicked twist—Hansel & Gretel’s Halloween is clever, bolder and a lot more fun than you’d expect.” – Matteo Rolleri, Executive Producer

“As both producers and distributors, we wanted to create a project that blends classic storytelling with a distinctive visual and tonal identity.” – Samantha Richardson, Executive Producer

Hansel & Gretel’s Halloween also stars Aubree Payne as Madison, Nehemiah Auzer as Jacob, Madison Sein as Taylor, Tate Skelton as Michael, Amanda Stump as Jacob’s mom, and Caroline Kelly as Allison Cooper.

In addition to directing, Marcus Mallard and Logan Walcher produced the film alongside Leah Heitzke-Mallard and Chris Hoyt. Hansel & Gretel’s Halloween cinematography is by Logan Walcher, the music is by Bitter Machine, with editing by Logan Walcher, and production design by Leah Heitzke-Mallard.

“Working with Devilworks on Hansel & Gretel’s Halloween was an amazing experience! Samantha and Matteo are supportive and encouraging of independent filmmakers, which allowed us to go all in on our creative vision for the project. The script was set, but Logan and I were able to really amp up our horror aesthetics to accentuate the fantasy elements. Devilworks always had our backs on creative decisions and made the process truly enjoyable!” – Marcus Mallard, Director/Producer

“The vision for this film was to inject new life into the legend of Hansel and Gretel and make it into something authentically scary. The actors captured the sense of horror and Christy Tate brought life to The Witch that makes her terrifyingly cool. It’s like Goosebumps cranked up to 11. The stakes are high and the deaths are deeply unsettling. The haunted house makes you question reality at every twist and turn. Marcus and I set out to make a movie your parents don’t want you to watch. So grab some friends and enjoy Hansel and Gretel’s Halloween, if you dare.” – Logan Walcher, Director/Producer
