Everything New on Max in December 2024

James Gunn’s DC Universe kicks off next month, with the debut of the new animated series Creature Commandos on Max. The show, created by Gunn and based on the DC comic, features a team of monsters who agree to work for the U.S. government and Amanda Waller. (Yes, Viola Davis is voicing Waller on the series.) It is the first official entry in the new DC film and TV universe overseen by Gunn that will continue next year with a new Superman film, also directed by Gunn.

Also coming to Max in December: A Friends–themed game show called Fast Friends, the streaming premiere of Clint Eastwood’s awesome Juror #2, and a new season of the comedy series Bookie. Also, Max’s press release for the month also claims Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is coming to the service in December as well — but doesn’t give a specific date for its debut. So stay tuned, I guess.
