On Thursday, August 11, musical artist Bad Bunny celebrated the grand opening of his new restaurant Gekkō and the event was star-studded. Two power couples met for a double date at the Miami-based location: Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner and Victoria and David Beckham. Jonas and Turner were wearing tops in a matching cream shade and beaded necklaces. Jonas had his button down thrown over a black tank top and wore sunglasses with orange frames. His wife had her hair slicked back in a long ponytail.
The Beckhams were looking chic in black, Victoria’s top featured a plunging neckline with a cut out at the center of her torso. David had on a form-fitting button up and a leather band is visible over his shoulder. Three of their children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, accompanied them to the event.
The Japanese steakhouse located in the Brickell neighborhood of the beachside city is owned by Bad Bunny and hospitality mogul David Grutman, and has a sushi bar. in addition to high-end steaks. The night was catered with sample bites and signature drinks and there was music being played by DJ Zack Bia. Other celebs at the event included Lil Wayne, Timbaland, Jake Paul, Isabela Grutman, Karol G, Future, DJ Khaled, Derek Jeter, and director Michael Bay were also seen inside the party with Andy Garcia, Candice Swanepoel, Chantel Jeffries, Lele Pons, Devon Windsor, and Terrence J.
Grutman has partnered with other celebrities, like Pharrell Williams at The Goodtime Hotel. He told Vogue, “Think of your go-to steakhouse. It’s familiar and personal. Then, imagine that with Japanese cuisine, too, and a Miami spin. Color, texture, great music. That’s what we’re aiming for with Gekkō.”
The size of the crowd that flocked to the opening during August in Florida is a testament to Bad Bunny’s popularity and also the love of a good steak.
