DJ James Kennedy is Team Ariana all the way!
By now you most likely know the deets about the Scandoval that’s rocked the Vanderpump Rules world! Ariana Madix dumped her boyfriend of nine years, Tom Sandoval, this month after she found out he was cheating on her with their co-star (and her close friend) Raquel Leviss for seven months. It’s been a horrible situation for the 37-year-old reality star – but she’s fortunately received a ton of support in the past week, especially from her cast members. And now, she can add one more person to her list of supporters: Raquel’s former fiancé James.
Speaking with Dailymail.com while out with his girlfriend Ally Lewber on Friday, the 31-year-old musician insisted that he has got Ariana’s back “no matter what” in the wake of the bombshell affair news:
“I’m here for Ariana and she’s definitely a great friend of mine, she always has been and we’re here to support her no matter what.”

In addition to the cheating scandal, there has also been some legal drama going down between Raquel and their co-star Scheana Shay. As we’ve reported, the 28-year-old was granted a temporary restraining order this week after she claimed Scheana physically attacked her after she found out about the affair with Sandoval. Raquel claimed the Scheananigans podcast host “pushed her against a brick wall,” and she allegedly “punched” her in the left eye. The attack resulted in injuries to the back of the SUR waitress’ head, a bruise to her left eye, and a cut on her eyebrow. However, Scheana fired back at the allegations. She said through her lawyer on Thursday:
“This entire case is a fabrication by a known liar and a cheat who has betrayed everyone close to her. Scheana never punched Rachel, period. The supposed dark markings around her left eye have been there for months.”
It’s a messy situation, and the two will end up going to a hearing on March 29 to address the matter. But before the court appearance, what does James have to say about the alleged altercation? While the television personality has little knowledge about what happened, he said he’ll also support Scheana at the end of the day:
“Yep she knows well… I don’t know much about it because I’ve not been able to speak to Scheana in person.”
James then noted that he “doesn’t even remember” the last time he talked with Raquel or Sandoval. When asked if he thought it was “weird” Sandoval got involved with and helped pay for his proposal to the former pageant queen in 2021, James said everyone ultimately “has to wait for the reunion to hear what I have to say” about the scandal, adding:
“It’s gonna be very interesting, everyone’s gotta watch it to see what happens.”
The reunion should be explosive because the cast members, especially Ariana’s friends Scheana, Katie Maloney, and Lala Kent, will undoubtedly have A LOT to say about Sandoval and Raquel’s actions.
