Michael Myers is leaving town. Tower Farm, the first new map for Halloween: The Game, moves the hunt out to a farming community on the outskirts of Haddonfield, and it lands October 27 free to everyone who owns the game.
Tower Farm sits at a crossroads of county roads, with farmhouses, barns, sprawling fields and irrigation structures, a trailer park next door running its own laundromat and convenience store, and a harvest festival underway. The flythrough keeps finding places to go flat: roadside ditches, overgrown brush, rows of standing corn. On a map this open, cover a player has to drop into rather than run behind is the whole fight.
“Tower Farm hosts a passionate group of farmers who spend their days tending to their fields and preparing for the next harvest,” reads the developer’s description, which goes on to note that locals say they see shadowy figures moving among the corn stalks after dark. Chief creative officer Jared Gerritzen put the update more plainly: “1978 was only the beginning.”
Two New Michaels, $9.99 Each
The map is free. The rest of the October 27 drop is not. Two new versions of The Shape go up at $9.99 apiece, one from Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and one from Halloween (2018). The 2018 mask was built under the supervision of Christopher Nelson, who sculpted the masks for Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, so the in-game version comes from the same hands as the one on screen.
Two more packs round out the paid side at $9.99 each: a Civilian Characters Pack adding Michelle and Eugene, and a costume pack of 14 outfits across 42 color variations. The licensing runs through Trancas International Films and Miramax.
The First of a Year of Updates
Alongside the map, the same patch carries new features, fixes and quality-of-life work at no cost, and IllFonic calls it the first in a series of content updates planned across the game’s first year. The studio has been here before, having built the Friday the 13th game and Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game, and it has already shown it will pull a feature back when the reaction is loud enough, as it did with the minigame it cut in September.
The game is on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, with physical editions on PS5 and Xbox Series. Tower Farm goes live four days before Halloween.
