WORLDFILMGEEK BIO
Born and raised in New York, Albert Valentin earned his B.A. in Film Studies from Mercy College. Around the time he was in college, he began writing for films, at first focusing on martial arts films and Asian cinema, which led to a stint in both online and print (UK-based publications Screen Power and Jade Screen). In 2008, Albert joined the staff of the now-defunct KungFuCinema.com, which earned him a place in the 2013 Honor Roll at the Martial Arts History Museum Hall of Fame. Since 2015, he has become known as the WorldFilmGeek, focusing on global and primarily independent cinema, which has given him the opportunity to interview actors and filmmakers from all over the world.
