The latest trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves could have gone one of two directions. It could have gone in a very serious Game of Thrones-like take on the world or to be a silly billy and play a campaign; that would be the equivalent of you playing D&D drunk with friends. The Chris McKay-written film decided to go with the latter. McKay also wrote, The Lego Movie to give you an idea of how he is a master of making seemingly impossible franchises a blast. He looks to have added a whole lot more of his wit and personality to this one. The result isn’t going to make all D&D fans happy but it certainly made this one more than happy.
There isn’t a correct way to make a Dungeons and Dragon film. The game itself is relative to the players that are involved. I have played hardcore serious matches and I have played Taco Bell and Vodka night games. And not gonna lie the Taco Bell and Vodka nights were always more fun and memorable. Also, Hugh Grant. That is all… Hugh Grant.
