They’re raising money for the victims and families of the Uvalde school shooting.
Hey Gorehounds and Blood Babes! I just wanted to bring something to y’all’s attention in case you weren’t in the know. There’s a charity event happening this Saturday, July 23rd called Horror Fans For Healing. And I can’t wait to talk about it!
First of all, the event is going to be held in Kingsland, TX at the original house used in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. That’s not all. The Hitchhiker (Ed Neal) and “Chainsaw” Jerry (Allen Danziger) will be in attendance as well! And that’s just the tip of the ice pick, Fright Fiends.
There’ll also be food, drinks, live music, photo-ops with the attending TCM cast. Then, when it gets dark, the night will be rounded out with a showing of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
It’s For A Good Cause
The purpose of this benefit is to raise money for the victims and families of the Uvalde school shooting, with all the proceeds going straight to them: no “middle men” involved. Horror creators and fans coming together in tragic times makes me feel appreciative to be part of such a caring fanbase. If you can, please attend and help support this good cause.
The whole thing is the brainchild of Allen Danziger himself, with several other horror lovers — including Harlow’s Haunt creator, Terry Jarrell (who I just featured not too long ago) and CJ Robles of The Indie Escape Network — helping set it all up. The event itself is free to attend, but you can purchase a Photo-Op ticket for $40 if you so choose. This includes a photo with Danziger, Neal, the house, and a tribute van (in place of the original one). Again, 100% of the money raised is going to the Uvalde victims/families.
You can get more info on the event and purchase Photo-Op tickets on the Facebook Page right here and Danziger’s own website right here. I’ll be attending, so I hope to see some of y’all there!
Until next time…
Ciao, friends!
