As shock-rocker Rob Zombie continues production on his upcoming reboot of The Munsters, he’s keeping us well fed via his Instagram.
Since everyone deserves a day off once in a while, the very latest photographic update from Zombie is an adorable day off photo. The very cute and wholesome black and white snapshot is of Sherri Moon Zombie, Richard Brake, Sylvester McCoy and Daniel roebuck as they take a quick rest from the highly anticipated adaptation.
We’ve been reporting on The Munsters updates since July when Zombie first announced the project. Since then him and his crew have uprooted to Hungary where they’ve built an exact replica of 1313 Mockingbird Lane. In fact, everything shared via the filmmakers socials have steered extremely true to the original 1964 NBC series.

This isn’t the first time the franchise has been recalibrated for modern audiences. Back in the 1980s, they resurfaced as The Munsters Today—the longest-running series in the property’s history. In 2012 NBC gave a reboot a try with Bryan Fuller at the helm. While the pilot for Mockingbird Lane has its fans, it wasn’t enough for the network to push the iteration forward as a series.
The original cast of The Munsters featured Fred Gwynne, Yvonne de Carlo, Beverly Owen, Butch Patrick, and Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Together, the group played the average nuclear American family. But twist—they were a clan of monsters!
Lastly, there’s still no word if The Munsters will head to theaters, or if it’ll be exclusive through the streamer Peacock sometime in 2022.
