Nope!
The internet is chock full of ghost stories and supposed paranormal experiences. I’m one to suspend my disbelief for a good scare, but some are much more skeptical. I’d like to hear a skeptic’s take on this TikTok recently posed by user thecabincleaner.
Thecabincleaner is, as her username suggests, a cabin cleaner based in Tennessee. Her TikTok account is typically a comedy account with her sharing personal anecdotes about her daily life, from work to her family. But yesterday, she shared something a little different.
In her most recent TikTok, she recounts a terrifying experience she had at work late at night. It involves blood-curdling screams, slamming doors, and her noping out of that cabin as quickly as humanly possible. Like, so fast that she left most of her belongings there.
Hear the whole story here:
Now, thecabincleaner is based in the Appalachia region, a place full of folklore and warnings about mysterious beings in the woods. There are well-known rules, such as if you hear something whistle at you, don’t whistle back. Just keep walking and looking forward. But don’t run. They may sound like wives tales meant to keep kids from going into the woods, but with the stories we’ve heard, we don’t want to test that theory.
Make sure to follow thecabincleaner on Tiktok for more videos and perhaps some more spooky tales from her job.
