Never one to shy away from a theme, Lizzo pulled out all the stops for the 2022 Super Bowl on Feb. 13. The singer, who just debuted a new song in a Google Pixel commercial, wore a dress made out of — and inspired by — a real football alongside a slew of celebrities watching the Cincinnati Bengals and LA Rams battle it out on the field in Inglewood, CA. The minidress, which included footballs as bra cups, came with yellow off-the-shoulder sleeves, a large keyhole cutout, and lace-up detailing up the sides to resemble a football.
After all, this is the same Lizzo who wore a “Hizzo” fan shirt to a Harry Styles concert and a star-spangled bralette to cast her mail-in ballot, as well as dressed as Kim Kardashian at the Met Gala for Halloween. Styled by Jason Rembert, who also dressed Mary J. Blige in a sparkly Dundas outfit for her halftime performance, Lizzo accessorized with shield sunglasses and a thick chain bracelet. A few days prior, Katy Perry also wore a football-inspired look at the 2022 NFL Honors, though Lizzo took her idea a tad more literally.
“LETS PLAY BALLS I had too much fun at the big game today,” the singer wrote alongside photos of her look. Ahead, get a detailed view of the wild dress, which we can only assume is a custom creation.
