The 2005 comedy film Wedding Crashers has stood the test of time as one of the best comedy films of this generation. According to star Owen Wilson, a sequel could potentially be in the works.

In a recent interview with Extra for his role in the Paramount+ original movie Secret Headquarters, Wilson was asked about an update on the potential sequel.
“David Dobkin, the director, I think he’s sort of, kind of exploring some ideas,” Wilson said. “And it was kind of, one of those movies that we had such a great time doing it, and then obviously it got a really nice response. So, just hoping if you do do something, that it can live up to the first one.”
Wilson was then asked if he had seen a script for a potential sequel. While Wilson didn’t outright say yes, he did coyly mention that “they’re working on some stuff, yes” when it came to the question. News of a potential sequel to the film has been bubbling for some time, with Wilson joking last year that he and actor Vince Vaughn should begin crashing weddings to get some more inspiration.
Whether or not a sequel comes will have to wait.
