Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam’s (Connor Swindells) relationship has always been a divisive one for Sex Education fans – and, with the recent third season culminated in their break-up, the debate continues to rage on. When Eric initially hooked up with his school bully during detention in the first season, we never thought we’d see the day that we were getting emotional about their decision to part ways. At first, Eric and Adam getting together was an eye-roll inducing moment that fed into a harmful LGBTQ+ trope (we called it out at the time), which was difficult to reconcile.
