Netflix has dropped the first teaser trailer for its upcoming comedy series event titled The Pentaverate, which hails from Emmy winner Mike Myers. It is scheduled to make its debut on May 5.
The Pentaverate teaser trailer, which you can check out below along with the photos and key art, offers us a glimpse of the eight new characters that Myers will get to play in the series including a Canadian reporter and a conspiracy theorist. It also features our first look at Ken Jeong and Keegan-Michael Key’s characters.

“What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347?” reads the synopsis. “As this new series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly save the world himself. Remember, the Pentaverate must never be exposed!”
The Pentaverate is created and executive produced by Mike Myers. This marks that Saturday Night Live vet’s first scripted TV series as the lead and is set to portray eight new characters including Ken Scarborough, Anthony Lansdowne, Rex Smith, Lord Lordington, Bruce Baldwin, Mishu Ivanov, Shep Gordon, and Jason Eccleston.
Additional cast includes Ken Jeong as casino mogul Skip Cho, Keegan-Michael Key as nuclear physicist Dr. Hobart Clark, Debi Mazar as Patty Davis, Richard McCabe as Exalted Pikeman Higgins, Jennifer Saunders as The Maester of Dubrovnik and Saester of Dubrovnik, and Lydia West as Reilly Clayton, with Oscar winner Jeremy Irons serving as the narrator.

The Pentaverate is executive produced by Tim Kirkby, John Lyons, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns for Jax Media; and Jason Weinberg, with Kirkby also set as the director.
