Tom Hiddleston & Loki’s MCU Future Revealed After Season 2 Ending

Tom Hiddleston has joined the cast of Avengers: Doomsday.

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube page started a live video gradually announcing the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. Click here for an updated list of all the casting announcements.

Hiddleston is the latest name to be added to the Avengers: Doomsday cast. Hiddleston has played Loki in a number of different MCU projects. He most recently appeared in Disney+ Loki Season 2, and MCU fans were unsure if the series marked the end of the character’s journey or if Hiddleston would continue to play the character.

How big of a presence Hiddleston’s Loki will have in Avengers: Doomsday and whether or not he’ll also show in Avengers: Secret Wars remains unclear at this time.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released in United States theaters on May 1, 2026, from Marvel Studios. Avengers: Secret Wars follows on May 7, 2027, while Spider-Man 4 is being released between those two movies on July 31, 2026.
