Britney Spears has joined Will.i.am on his new song “Mind Your Business.” Give it a listen below.
Spears’ most recent album, Glory, came out back in 2016. She shared a handful of outtakes from those same sessions in 2020, too. Things were quiet on the music front for Spears until she joined Elton John for “Hold Me Closer,” which re-worked his hit “Tiny Dancer,” last summer. Back in 2012, Spears and Will.i.am collaborated on the latter’s single “Scream & Shout.”
The Woman in Me, Spears’ upcoming memoir about her “freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope,” comes out October 24 via Simon & Schuster. When announcing the book on social media, Spears wrote, “My story on my own terms, at last.”
Back in November 2021, Spears’ conservatorship was terminated after a lengthy, highly publicized trial. During those hearings, Spears’ future in music was repeatedly called into question, with her manager resigning and claiming that Spears was hoping to “officially retire.” While living under the conservatorship, she released four albums and performed hundreds of shows.
