Chai got into the holiday spirit this year, releasing a cover of Wham!’s classic “Last Christmas” on Christmas Day. It arrived with a new music video starring the band. Watch it below.
The band, who released the new album Wink earlier this year, joins a stable of artists who have covered the iconic holiday song in recent years: Lucy Dacus recorded it in 2019 as part of her holiday covers series; Robyn performed it on BBC Radio 1 in 2018; Future Islands delivered a rendition in 2015; the xx shared a version in 2012; and Taylor Swift had a version of it in a 2007 holiday EP.
