What is ThriftBooks?
When ThriftBooks got started in 2003, their operation consisted of a pickup truck of used books stashed in a storage unit that they sold on Amazon. Today, ThriftBooks is the world’s largest online independent used book seller. They offer books and other media in a variety of formats and conditions at competitive prices, all while boasting a five-star rating on Trustpilot.
Why Shop from ThriftBooks?

Thriftbooks ReadingRewards
What’s even better than discounted books? Free books! With ThriftBooks ReadingRewards, you’ll earn points to turn into free books every time you shop.
How ReadingRewards Works
- You earn points for every dollar you spend, plus bonus points through monthly promotions.
- Here’s a promo going on now: from May 1 through May 4, you’ll earn 100 bonus points every time you spend $20 or more in a single order.
- The more you spend, the more you earn: level up a ReadingRewards tier to earn more points per dollar spent.
- Turn those points into free books! Every 500 points gets you a free book. The higher your rewards tier, the higher the reward value of your free book.
