According to Variety, Oscar nominee Salma Hayek is currently in negotiations to join the cast of Netflix’s Netflix’s long-awaited Black Mirror Season 6. Should the deal pushes through, this would mark Hayek’s first major TV gig since appearing as a frequent guest in sitcoms Ugly Betty and 30 Rock.
In addition, Emmy winner Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) is also in talks to join the next installment, while Scream 4 actor Rory Culkin has officially been cast for the sci-fi anthology drama.

Black Mirror Season 6 will reportedly be consisting of more installments than the fifth season, which had three episodes, with season six being described as “more cinematic in scope.” Each episode is being developed as a stand-alone film. The new installment will be produced by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones through their Broke & Bones banner.
Season 6 will star Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), Paapa Essiedu (Gangs of London), Josh Hartnett (Penny Dreadful), Kate Mara (Call Jane), Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Clara Rugaard (The Rising), Auden Thornton (This Is Us), and Anjana Vasan (We Are Lady Parts). Further details about their characters are still being kept under wraps.
Created by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror is an anthology series that taps into “our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia,” reads the synopsis. “Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflection.”
