Garrick Merrifield, one of the stars of TLC’s Seeking Sister Wife, was recently arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, according to TMZ.
Garrick, 40, was booked in Chaffee County, Colorado, on Monday, November 24, per the outlet, and has since been bonded out of jail. He was charged with “telephone-obstruct service,” said the report.
In Colorado, obstruction of telephone or telegraph service is a class 1 misdemeanor. It pertains to someone knowingly preventing or obstructing communication, such as telephone calls.
Us Weekly has reached out to Garrick and the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office for further comment.

Garrick’s alleged arrested comes just one week after he and his wives — Lorrana and Dannielle — announced that Lorrana had welcomed a baby girl, Sarah Mae Merrifield, born in July.
Garrick and Dannielle welcomed Lorrana, who is from Brazil, into their family as a sister wife in 2024, as documented on the sixth season of the TLC reality show. Garrick and Dannielle also share three children, including teen sons Geremiah and Solomon, and daughter Leia, born in May 2023.
“I am so happy to see Sarah growing up alongside her siblings, creating bonds and receiving so much love from the whole family,” Lorrana told People in a November 17 interview.
“She is very smiley, always with a wide and cheerful smile when she sees each of us,” Lorrana said of the newborn.
Garrick added, “Baby Sarah is definitely a squeaker. She is loud. I wonder if she might be an opera singer someday. She’s got some lungs on her. I’m excited to see more of her personality and seeing her and Leia as sisters playing together and growing up together. It is such a blessing that we had Sarah at this time, so Leia will grow up with her also.”
Garrick also opened up about coparenting with Lorrana and Dannielle.
“Coparenting as a plural family has been wonderful, to have all the support and be there for each other. It’s a blessing to have all of our family involved helping each other. It’s definitely allowed us to do different things,” he said.
“Lorrana and I have been able to go on trips when Dannielle took the kids, and vice versa Lorrana is taking the kids so Dannielle and I are able to celebrate our anniversary,” he said.

Dannielle told People, “With Garrick and I having three children already together, I think it has been a help, but we continue to learn new things after all this time.”
“It has been nice for Lorrana and I to be able to help each other as mothers and give each other breaks. It has also been equally as special to see Garrick become a father again to two girls which is a whole different ball game,” she added.
During the September season 6 premiere of Seeking Sister Wife, Garrick and Dannielle talked about courting Lorrana to join their family.
“Things really matured [and] started going in a good direction,” Garrick said. “We kind of hashed out a lot of deep, heartfelt, serious questions that you and her [as well as] me and her [had] especially because I knew she had a past and she had some men treat her really bad.”
“After being together with her for five days, all of us, I was like, ‘You know, I feel really good about her. God wants me to ask her to be my wife,’” Garrick added.
