The Adidas x Gucci collaboration was first teased on the Italian house’s Milan runway in February. And it’s finally available today. The mash-up is full of sportswear codes and soccer pitch logos, but it’s far from your typical athleisure. It’s also sure to sell out quickly.
With a 1979 Adidas catalogue as its guide, the full Adidas x Gucci collaboration mixes nostalgic yet athletic silhouettes with some very 2022 flourishes. Sporty matching track jackets and shorts glow up in a luxurious jacquard fabric; sweatshirt dresses have sharp (and already celebrity-approved) shoulders; the classic Adidas Gazelle sneaker comes in never-before-seen Gucci colors. On the formal side, leather bowling bags and suede loafers come down to earth with Adidas’s three-stripe motif or its trefoil stamp.
For now, the entire collaboration is available to shop in select Gucci stores or on Gucci’s website. (Note: You’ll need to create a Gucci account to access the collection.) Limited pieces are also on the Adidas Confirmed app—that is, if you can click fast enough.
There’s another avenue for the most dedicated shoppers to bring Adidas x Gucci into their closets (or gym bags). The pair are opening two temporary California pop-up stores, one in the Los Angeles Melrose shopping center and the other in South Coast Plaza’s Jewel Court. Visit, and you’ll find a storefront coated in a retro print inspired by a joining of Gucci’s monogram with Adidas’s trefoil logo. (Vintage furniture, nodding to the collection’s ’70s influences will serve as fitting décor.) Beyond the West Coast, pop-ups will open within existing Gucci store locations including New York City, Chicago, and Toronto.

If you’re wearing your Gucci and Adidas gear to get active, you may want to accessorize with another of its collaborations: Last week, the house released its take on the Ōura health monitor ring, complete with a gold Gucci monogram. In the case of Adidas x Gucci, the best pieces are a little sporty, a little dressy, and worth the hype.
