Recent record-breaking Jeopardy! champion Amy Schneider has reached another epic milestone as she announces her engagement to her longtime girlfriend, Genevieve Davis.
The trivia expert revealed the news on social media on Thursday night, alongside a photo of the happy couple’s engagement rings. “I have an announcement: Genevieve is no longer my girlfriend… she’s my fiancée!!!” Schneider tweeted. “I couldn’t be happier or more proud to spend my life with the very best person in the entire world.”

Schneider is coming off the back of an impressive 40-game winning streak on Jeopardy!, where she walked away with $1.3 million in total earnings. She now ranks among the top five highest-earners in the show’s history, as well as being the most winningest woman ever and the first transgender contestant to qualify for the Tournament of Champions.
While Schneider’s streak ended in January, the former software engineering manager was happy that she could at least spend more time with her partner. “I don’t have to come back down to L.A. and leave Genevieve, my girlfriend, at home anymore,” she told Entertainment Weekly last month. “Because that was really hard. We hadn’t really been separated for that period of time before I went on Jeopardy, and I didn’t enjoy that part of it.”
Since her time on Jeopardy!, Schneider quit her day job and is pursuing new career options, including publishing a book. She also told EW that she intends to spend some of her earnings with Davis, including “a trip to Ireland” and “some fancy clothes” shopping. “For a lot of it, the plan is to set it aside to turn into a mortgage at some point,” she added, though now one can expect some of that money to be spent on a wedding!
