One of my favorite parts of working in fashion is brand discovery, and as spring approaches, I find myself browsing emerging labels to see what’s new.
Even though New York is currently freezing (as I’m writing this, the forecast literally says “feels like 2°”), looking toward warmer weather feels like a nice distraction. When it’s too cold to leave the apartment, researching and online shopping almost becomes a hobby—something I can settle into while cooped up inside. There’s something comforting about scrolling through new collections, saving pieces, and imagining how I’ll wear them when I don’t need to be all bundled up just to leave the house.
I’m especially drawn to labels that do things a little differently, where fashion, art, and culture overlap. These are the designers I tend to find through fashion month, TikTok rabbit holes, niche boutiques with impeccable curation, celebrity stylists’ credits, and while browsing Nordstrom’s Space section.
Ahead, I rounded up the standout pieces from my favorite emerging fashion brands right now.
