Inspiration behind this video: A reunion special for The Office is being considered by NBC for its new streaming platform Peacock. The show was a remake of a British sitcom with the same name, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The American version, led by Steve Carell as the iconic Michael Scott, was a hit back when it was airing on NBC and only seems to be gaining a larger fan base as time goes on. When The Office hit streaming giant Netflix, the already-popular show reached new heights of admiration. It was regularly one of the most viewed shows on the platform, even beating out mega popular sitcoms like Friends. However, it was announced last year that the show would be leaving Netflix at the end of 2020. After that, the show will be streamed exclusively on Peacock, at least in the United States.
