The is a pilot for a television show filmed in 1995. This show was very unique at the time it was created as many of the musical based types of shows and movies like Glee and Pitch Perfect had not yet become popular. The show is based on a musical theater school for girls and is a story about the girls living in the boarding school. The show was filmed in Tampa, Florida using the University of Tampa as it’s fictional campus.
The cast features girls from the performing group Entertainment Revue. Five of the cast members went on to sign major record deals. The show was optioned by Fox Family Channel (Saban Entertainment) but was not picked up for the regular season.
Cast includes, Jillian Thompson, Carly Walker, Mahandra Delfino, Erin Boyd, Lauren Mayhew, Tracy Williams, Mia Barrington, Lydia Bell, Whitney Fincher, Thea Carberros, and guest stars Harry Burney, Dick Poole, and Nicole Humphries.
The script was written by Entertainment Revue director Cynthia Gries and Music written by Cynthia Gries and Donald Sosin.
The original pilot is being released ) in April of 2020 in the wake of the corona virus outbreak and “stay at home” orders across the US. The hope is to give young aspiring singers and dancers a fun show to watch while at home.
