We hear Landis has a treatment while McBride is in talks to write a treatment. Know that Paramount has myriadTransformersprojects in early stages as well. You’ll remember coming off of Steven Caple Jr.’sTransformers: Rise of the Beaststhere was a tip off to aTransformers-G.I. Joecrossover movie. That concept isn’t out of sight, out of mind.

It’s been five years since the last live-action G.I. Joe movie, a prequel/spinoff film for one of the toys’ more popular characters, Snake Eyes. In 2021’sSnake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, viewers learned how theenigmatic ninja (played by Henry Golding) came to acquire his unique codename and costume. The film was a major bomb in theaters, grossing just $40 million worldwide against a budgettwo or three times that much.

Now, very little remains of prehistoric humanity — it’s not like cavemen were writing books or keeping detailed records of what life was like in our early days. But we’re pretty sure that the prehistoric epic 10,000 BC, a sort of action-adventure Clan of the Cave Bear, was not based on any factual account of what early humanity was up to thousands of years ago. For one thing, the ancient Egyptians weren’t ruled by descendants of Atlantis, and they certainly weren’t using enslaved hunter-gatherers and the last of the woolly mammoths to construct their pyramids. Plus, terror birds and saber-toothed tigers were native to the Americas, not Africa. Neanderthal shamans may have been able to project their souls into other people’s bodies, though. Shame there aren’t any around to ask.
