Kaboomer by David Emerson Frost
What’s It About?
Join master fitness trainer, life coach, and rowing champion David Frost on his journey to teach readers practical steps toward a happy, healthy lifestyle — whatever their age, elder fitness level, or medical condition.
As personal coach and master fitness trainer David Emerson Frost aptly notes, nearly every one of the country’s 75 million Baby Boomers — those born between 1946 and 1964 — have “a chink in our armor, a joint that isn’t quite what it was, a little less gumption to keep on keepin’ on, or some other reality of modern maturity.”
Yet Frost is out to prove that anyone who puts his or her mind to it and follows a set of intelligent lifestyle steps can party until they are 90.
The concept is laid out in his highly readable and efficient guidebook, cleverly titled KABOOMER: Thriving and Striving into Your Nineties.
Practical Steps for Your Anti-Aging Journey
If the smiling gray-haired man and woman poised to race each other on the book’s cover aren’t enough to get you excited, the comprehensive tips and strategies presented within, along with Frost’s inviting and witty writing style, should be all you need.
It’s all a matter of knowing how to take care of yourself and making the commitment to do so.
The author was inspired to write KABOOMER to overcome setbacks in his own life. And in so doing, he is now sharing the actionable lessons he learned.
Adding Years & Improving Quality of Life
He equates a person’s fiscal retirement model with what he calls their physical banking model and taking care of what remains in one’s physical bank vault.
Among Frost’s many mantras, the one that seems to stick for me is: Motion is medicine. He can’t emphasize enough the importance of exercise to maintain stamina. He celebrates sweat and invites people to better understand why they must “move,” and what’s in it for them.
Frost leaves no stone unturned. He provides detailed breakdowns of what mature adults need to know about health, exercise, eating, sleeping, frame of mind (laughing), minimizing stress, and even accident insurance.
A Fun and Exciting Motivational Tool
While many books of this nature can’t help but call attention to the struggles and the frightening aging process of the persons reading it, KAMBOOMER is a breath of positive energy and a fun and exciting motivational tool to help add years to your life and improve the general quality of that life.
“You may have chosen this book because you face your own life challenges, setbacks or obstacles. Or you want to avoid those issues when they arise as speed bumps on your fitness and wellness travels.”
Hop aboard the strength, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm of David Emerson Frost and KABOOMER, and discover for yourself how age 70 can be the new 40.
