Razzies Won: Worst Original Song

Few pop stars were as overexposed as MC Hammer was by 1991, which probably accounts for his win for Worst Original Song at that year’s Razzies for “Addams Groove.”His rap about the lovable Addams family is perhaps not a sonic masterpiece, but I really enjoyed it as a kid. I just turned it on now to consider it for the first time in 30 years, and you know what? I still like it! And Barry Sonnenfeld’s creepy and kooky Addams Family does not deserve to be associated with the Razzie Awards. (The sequel, Addams Family Values, won the same award for “Addams Family (Whoomp!)” which … okay, was maybe a little deserved.)
