Toy Story 5 cast does the Toy Story Flop at UK launch event
The cast of Toy Story 5, which includes many veteran actors from the previous films, recently appeared at the UK launch event. In the event, they performed the iconic “Toy Story Flop.”
As shared in a clip by Deadline on X, Tom Hanks announces, “someone’s coming…1,2,3.” This was before the cast members went limp in their chairs, mimicking inanimate toys. Fans have seen the characters perform this action multiple times throughout the previous films. This was usually to conceal the fact that they are alive.
The moment received enthusiastic applause from attendees at the event.
Toy Story 5 features Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Tony Hale, John Ratzenberger, Wallace Shawn, Blake Clark, Annie Potts, Bonnie Hunt, Melissa Villaseñor, Kristen Schaal, Keanu Reeves, and Ally Maki reprising their roles alongside Tom Hanks. The film also features Greta Lee, Conan O’Brien, Craig Robinson, Shelby Rabara, Scarlett Spears, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Matty Matheson, Jeff Bergman, Anna Vocino, John Hopkins, Bad Bunny, Ernie Hudson, and Alan Cumming.
Previously, Toy Story 4 was believed to be the final installment in the franchise. Hanks had previously indicated the same. However, a fifth film was officially confirmed in 2023.
Toy Story 5 will continue from the events of Toy Story 4 and will introduce a new challenge for the toys: the digital age.
Toy Story 5 premiered on May 28, 2026, in London and is scheduled for a wide theatrical release on June 19, 2026.
