On Wednesday, December 29, Trevor Noah posted a photo of himself celebrating the birthday of his best friend Xolisa Dyeshana at a restaurant in his hometown of Johannesburg, South Africa. Sitting next to him at the table was actress Minka Kelly, marking the first time he’s shared a photo of Kelly on Instagram since they started dating. E! Online reports that gossip account Deux Moi had recently posted a report from a fan about seeing the two on a flight there.

The couple began dating in 2020, but took a break in May of 2021. Not long after, it seemed like they had reconciled when they were spotted walking around St. Barts on vacation in June.
“Things are going well between them. They are taking things slowly,” a source said at the time. “They really like each other but needed to take a step back and slow things down….They are just enjoying going on dates and seeing what happens.”
They were seen together again in New York City this September walking Kelly’s dog. They generally keep their relationship very private. Seeing Kelly on Noah’s Instagram account signals that something more serious might be happening, especially as it was over the Christmas holiday.
But a source told People that being on-again off-again is somewhat normal for their relationship, explaining that “they break up and get back together all of the time… They do seem to really love each other and each time they get back together, they try their best to make it stick.”
Noah doesn’t talk much about his relationships in public generally, though in 2019, he said on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show that he is open to marriage, but not to living with someone.
He claimed, “I think one of the biggest reasons people get divorces and relationships break up is because of this cohabiting bulls–t that we’ve come to believe is the way relationships are supposed to be.”
