Co-founder and original vocalist Adam Gontier is back with Three Days Grace members Barry Stock (guitar), Matt Walst (vocals), Brad Walst (bass, backing vocals), and Neil Sanderson (drums, keyboards, backing vocals). Together, the rock veterans have released their first new single, the anthemic rock track “Mayday,” with both Gontier and Matt on vocals.
The song came out on November 22 across all digital streaming platforms via RCA Records. “Mayday” was produced by Zakk Cervini and Dan Lancaster with vocal production by Howard Benson.
Three Days Grace also released a new music video to accompany the track.
“This song is a reflection of the current state of the world, an unsettling mix of disillusionment, exhaustion, and denial,” says the band. “The sense that we’re all on the brink—emotionally, socially, and environmentally—yet we refuse to admit defeat. So even though we feel like we are barely surviving, we keep on moving forward, one foot in front of the other.”
Since 2003, Three Days Grace has been nominated multiple times for “Best Rock Album” at the Juno Awards in addition to nominations for “Rock Song of the Year” and “Rock Artist of the Year” at iHeartRadio Music Awards. With more than five billion combined streams, the band’s top tracks include hard rock anthems “I Hate Everything About You”, “Riot”, and “Time of Dying”, among others.
Three Days Grace, along with Disturbed, will embark on a North American tour starting in Nampa, Idaho on February 25, 2025.
