It Girls Are Wearing This 90s-Coded Skit Trend Instead of Plain Miniskirts

This heat wave is like no other, and there are only a few fashion items worth wearing in it. Miniskirts are one trend everyone turns to in times like this, but not all miniskirts are created equal; some are chicer than others. Not everyone thinks so, but Gemma Chan just wore the miniskirt trend that proves they can be. While out and about, Chan wore an outfit that was very chic in a minimal ‘90s way, and included a trouser miniskirt.

Basically, a trouser miniskirt is a miniskirt that’s inspired by a pair of trousers, often with zippers and belt loops. Chan’s full look also consisted of a breezy white long-sleeve blouse with a high-neck detail, the trouser miniskirt, and a pair of black patent leather pointed-toe pumps. She had fun with her chosen accessories and carried a zebra-print bag and modern black sunglasses. While a miniskirt may not always be deemed as a chic item, a trouser miniskirt will, and this look proves it.
