The Terminal List Season 2 has an official premiere date. The show’s Instagram account confirmed this week that the action thriller returns on October 21, 2026. The caption hinted at unfinished story threads without elaborating.
Chris Pratt stars as James Reece, a former Navy SEAL. In Season 1, Reece’s entire team is killed in a covert operation gone wrong. He goes after the people responsible. The show debuted on Prime Video in 2022 and is widely regarded as one of Prime Video’s biggest hits of that year. It pulled viewers into the story fast – the kind of series that brings the action right into your living room.
The show carries a reputation for gritty military drama, and Reece is exactly the character at the center of it. Action fans responded in a big way. They’ve been waiting ever since.
Season 1 left plenty of loose ends. Corruption, betrayal, and personal loss drove the whole series forward. Reece was still standing at the end, but the story wasn’t finished. The “Unfinished business” tease signals that Season 2 picks up the story. Those threads were never fully resolved.
The official announcement was intentionally short. “Unfinished business. The Terminal List Season 2 returns October 21.” The team is clearly holding the rest for later. No footage or cast announcements accompanied the date reveal.
Four years is a long gap between seasons. The announcement generated strong engagement despite carrying no footage or cast news. Fans are paying attention.
Chris Pratt has kept a full schedule on the film side. He reprised his role as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2023 and has stayed active in Hollywood since. But Reece is a different kind of role for him. The role is grounded in real military detail – a far cry from the Marvel universe. That contrast is part of what makes the show stand out.
The Terminal List is based on the bestselling thriller by Jack Carr, a former Navy SEAL. Carr’s novels have reportedly sold millions of copies, and his readership overlaps heavily with the show’s fanbase. Season 2 could draw from Carr’s follow-up novel, True Believer. That book continues Reece’s story. The show hasn’t confirmed its source material for Season 2, but the direction fits.
October 21 drops The Terminal List into a crowded fall streaming window. Streaming competition gets fierce in the fourth quarter. The show’s fanbase has been vocal about wanting a second season since 2022, and the date-only post drew immediate attention. The wait is almost over.
