What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Aggie Mail Order Brides of Pine Crossing?
I always try for a new angle on my books. There are a lot of Mail Order Bride books but many seem the same. There really is a town that was formed in the 1800s with only three structures one was a tent another had log sides and canvas for a roof and the third was a falling down shack. Can you imagine going to a new town to be wed and you get out of the stage coach and see such a town? This book is about 2 sisters who are so opposite. The one that is to be wed thinks she’s better than others and her sister is sweet and kind. I wrote this on the premise that being kind can lead to being taken advantage of but it is rewarded in the end.
