HGTVs Drew Scott Announces Exciting New Series With Michael Bublé

Drew Scott is teaming up with one of Canada’s biggest stars for an exciting new TV series.

In a Thursday, May 28, Instagram post, the Property Brothers star revealed that he and Michael Bublé will star in the new Prime Video hockey docuseries Hometown Giants. “Things are heating up! Hometown Giants coming to Prime this fall!” he wrote alongside photos of himself and Bublé on the ice in personalized Vancouver Giants uniforms.

“So excited!” one fan commented underneath the post. Another added, “Love this. Two of my favorite guys.” Someone else wrote, “OMG! I love the photos especially the second one, Drew! With you and @michaelbuble leading the way what can go wrong LOL!”

Drew and his brother Jonathan Scott‘s joint Instagram account also celebrated the show’s announcement on Wednesday, May 27. “New show alert! As co-owners of the Vancouver Giants, @mrdrewscott and @michaelbuble are helping the next generation of young players chase their NHL dreams, and we’re bringing the cameras along for the ride!” the post’s caption reads. “Our new documentary series Hometown Giants is coming to @primevideoca this fall.”

Underneath the upload, one person gushed, “Good ole’ Canadian boys doing Canadian things. Gotta love it!!!!” Another stated, “This is awesome! Love that some of our best Canadian boys, especially @mrdrewscott and @michaelbuble, own this team! Go Giants Go!!!”

Someone else exclaimed, “I’m looking forward to seeing your progress!! Praying for your success!” A different person posted, “So cool! Can’t wait to watch!”

According to Deadline, Hometown Giants is produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment in Association with Amazon MGM Studios. The series, which premieres this fall, will follow Bublé and Scott on their journey to becoming co-owners of the junior Canadian hockey team, the Vancouver Giants, which is comprised of teen athletes hoping to make their NHL debuts.

Drew is no stranger to TV. He and his twin brother, Jonathan, have hosted several HGTV home renovation and design shows, such as Brother vs. Brother, Property Brothers: Forever Home, Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers, Celebrity IOU, Chasing the West, and Property Brothers: Under Pressure.

While Bublé is best known as a five-time Grammy winner, he has appeared on a number of TV shows over the years, including acting as a coach on The Voice for Seasons 26 through 28.

Bublé became a minority owner of the team in 2008, while Drew became an owner in 2023. “NEWS: The Vancouver Giants are thrilled to announce they have acquired one half of the @propertybrothers!” the team’s Instagram page announced back in September 2023. “‘Being an OG giant from Vancouver, I’m excited to come home! Big things to come.’ Please join us in welcoming @mrdrewscott on board as a new part-owner!”

The post featured a fun photo of Drew and Bublé sporting Giants jerseys and hats. Giants fans were excited to welcome Drew to the team at the time, as one user commented, “Great move, great org, continued success.” Another shared, “I had no idea he was from Vancouver! Dream team ownership!”
