A new documentary about North Carolina’s Little Brother—the trio of rappers Big Pooh and Phonte and DJ/producer 9th Wonder—is scheduled to arrive next year. May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story was directed by Holland Randolph Gallagher. It features live footage, archival clips of Drake and Doja Cat, and interviews with Little Brother members, Questlove, and others. A firm release date for the film has not yet been announced, but you can check out the trailer below.
Little Brother disbanded in 2010 shortly after releasing their album LeftBack that same year. In 2018, they reunited for a performance at Durham, North Carolina’s Art of Cool Festival. The following year, Little Brother issued their most recent LP, May the Lord Watch. Back in 2011, 9th Wonder was the subject of a Kenneth Price–directed documentary titled The Wonder Year.
