She’s Startin’: Dua Lipa Strolls Through NYC in $3,000 Pantaleggings

Love ’em or hate ’em, pantaleggings have snuck their way into the fashion zeitgeist, and Dua Lipa’s latest streetwear look might have just convinced us that the controversial legging-heel combo is worth a strut. While strolling through New York City on Sept. 27, the “Levitating” singer embodied Kim Kardashian at the 2021 Met Gala in a $3,000 pair of black Balenciaga Naked Knife Pantaleggings ($3,050). The sleek matte spandex pants extend into a pair of black Balenciaga Knife heels. Lipa layered the skintight leggings (boots? bodysuit? pants?) under an off-white Luar jacket with a geometrically pieced bodice from the brand’s spring 2023 ready-to-wear collection.

With the help of stylist Lorenzo Posocco, Lipa styled the space-age ensemble with a futuristic pair of Dior Bandage 1 sunglasses from the spring/summer 2003 campaign for Tab Vintage and a python-print Luar Small Ana Bag. Lipa added a splash of sparkle to the outfit with Eéra jewelry, including a key-shaped 18-karat white-gold pavé earring ($2,580), an 18-karat Tokyo diamond pavé earring ($5,984), a Dimitri chain necklace ($1,380), and a Chiara diamond and white gold pavé earring ($6,100).

At Firefly Festival in Delaware on Sept. 25, the “Cold Heart” singer doubled up on the spandex in a custom GCDS lycra catsuit. In the weeks leading up to the festival, Lipa also wore a cutout Mugler outfit to celebrate her 27th birthday. The sheer turtleneck bodysuit featured high hip cutouts and an asymmetrical skirt.
