As a self-confessed creature of habit, some of my fashion choices are, admittedly, also often very predictable. Come summer, my wardrobe is populated with white dresses and beige linen; in winter, it’s blue jeans, grey knits and camel coats. My shoes are no exception. From January to December, across everything from sandals to boots, there’s a 99% chance you’ll see me sporting black shoes—save, perhaps, the lone pair of Zara sliders I own in tan. Everything in my wardrobe works with black footwear, so why would I buy anything else? Well, for the pure joy of it!
This season, I’d like to shake up my shoe selection and introduce—get this—some different colours into my line-up. So I thought I’d take a closer look at some recent Instagram outfits to see if I could pinpoint some noteworthy options.
