Jake Paul requested his supporters to choose between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano as winners in their possible fighting match which started a major online debate. The social media post, which simply asked “Who you got? Rousey vs Carano,” has drawn hundreds of replies which show that the fanbase remains divided while many fans express doubts about their opinions.

The proposed bout would create history because it will feature two women who established the sport of mixed martial arts for female fighters. Rousey, 37, is a former UFC bantamweight champion and Olympic judoka who has not participated in MMA matches since 2016. Carano, 42, is widely considered the first major female star of the sport but has not competed in professional matches since 2009.
Fans responded to the situation with immediate and intense enthusiasm. Fans showed their enthusiasm because they could finally see their dream matchup brought to life. “This is going to be epic,” wrote one supporter. Another fan said, “I just feel happy to see Carano wearing tank tops again.”
The event drew doubts about its legitimacy from more than half of the people who attended. The fight which Jake Paul promoted through his organization received comments from people who doubted its authenticity. “Another staged Netflix fight,” one user stated bluntly. “I will not watch this match because I believe all Netflix fights are fake fights.”
People examined how long the athletes had been away from competing. “Both old, out of their prime and haven’t fought in years,” argued one fan. “This is more about the names than fight quality.” Another person stated, “This fight exists only for promotional reasons. People show zero interest in it.

Rousey supporters used her top-level grappling skills and her recent WWE experience to support their argument. Jake Paul has been promoting his own Netflix boxing match, and recently donned a Santa suit for a partnership. He also declared himself a Super Bowl champion after a bet, and once compared a high school wrestling win to Anthony Joshua’s Olympic gold.
