Inside/Out was my favorite PBS program during my childhood. It presented situations for older elementary students to think about what they would do if they were in the same situation. The episodes were originally broadcast during the 1972-73 season, but were rerun throughout the rest of the decade. In “Bully” the new boy is picked on mercilessly by another boy in the class. The bully follows him around town taunting him to no end. The new boy pleads to be left alone, but the bully will not relent. Finally, when the bully is the one who needs help — what will happen? This film still makes for an excellent discussion starter for classes in the 21st century.
This video is the only one I have from this series. I wanted to order the rest on DVD, but the AIT website is down and I can find none of the other complete episodes anywhere. *** No copyright infringement is intended as this upload is for educational and historical references only.
