Pooh 568x320 - 'Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey' Gory New Trailer Unleashes The Beast [Exclusive]

Entering the new year means we’re even closer to the release of the highly anticipated horror title Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Since the controversial horror film went viral during the summer of 2022, the internet has been simply buzzing with anticipation. With the release just weeks away, we have an exclusive look at the new trailer featuring never-before-seen images that tease one nasty bloodbath.

Read the full synopsis:

The days of adventures and merriment have come to an end, as Christopher Robin, now a young man, has left Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet to fend for themselves. As time passes, feeling angry and abandoned, the two become feral. After getting a taste for blood, Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet set off to find a new source of food. It’s not long before their bloody rampage begins.

Now check out the new trailer featuring a torture-loving Pooh:

Do we spy Pooh using meat hooks to hang his victims? How very Leatherface of him! This new short-but-sweet trailer all but confirms that the blood will certainly be flowing through the 100 Acre Wood.

Initial fan response to Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey ranged from pure excitement to total outrage. Many were thrilled to see the wholesome bear turned into a horror villain. But others were horrified to see a childhood figure turned evil. Regardless, all this conversation has the film ranking as the second most anticipated film of 2023 according to IMDb.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is the writer-director behind Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. It’s a co-production between Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Studios. Frake-Waterfield is producing alongside Scott Jeffrey while Stuart Alson and Nicole Holland executive produce. Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, and Danielle Scott star in the film.

Winnie the Pooh originated as a fictional teddy bear created by author A.A. Milne and illustrator E.H. Shepard. In the 1960s Pooh became a household name when Walt Disney Productions turned the character into an animated movie star. Pooh then entered the public domain earlier this year.

Fathom Events brings Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey to theaters on February 15, 2023. Tickets go on sale on January 6, 2023.
