The Penguin Cast Adds 3 Actors in Recurring Roles

HBO’s upcoming The Penguin series is adding more to its cast, with Variety reporting that Michael Zegen, James Madio, and Scott Cohen have all been cast in recurring roles in The Batman spin-off.

The three join an already star-studded cast, which is set to include the likes of Colin Farrell, who will reprise his role as Oswald “The Penguin” Cobblepot, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, and Clancy Brown.

It’s currently unknown who Madio and Cohen will play, however, as HBO Max has not released any information about their characters. However, Variety reports that Zegen will play the role of Alberto Falcone, the son of Carmine Falcone, who was played by John Turturro in The Batman.

In the world of DC Comics, Alberto is also credited as being The Holiday Killer in the iconic Batman story The Long Halloween, although it’s unknown if Zegen will be appearing in the upcoming sequel to The Batman.

Set in the world of 2022’s The Batman, the HBO Max series will focus on Oswald Cobblepot. The Penguin will be based on the DC characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. It is being written by Lauren LeFranc, who is also set as the showrunner. The first two episodes will be directed by Craig Zobel.
