Fears to Fathom is six short horror games about ordinary people in situations that stop being ordinary. Scarlet Stallone has optioned all six of them for film and television.
Her company, SRYN Productions, is developing the franchise with its creator, Mukul Negi, who publishes the games as Rayll. Deadline reported the deal. “I’ve been playing video games since before I could read, and the first time I played Fears to Fathom, I was hooked,” Stallone said in a statement.
Six Games, Six Different People
The installments are Home Alone, Norwood Hitchhike, Carson House, Ironbark Lookout, Woodbury Getaway and Scratch Creek. Each is a standalone story with its own protagonist, and the series is billed as drawing on real experiences rather than invented ones. “Rayll’s games are grounded and genuinely unsettling, because the horror comes from situations that could actually happen to you,” Stallone said.
The Game-to-Screen Pipeline Is Crowded Now
Negi said he began Fears to Fathom as “a very personal project,” and that Stallone understood the appeal was never only the scares. Other indie horror games are making the same trip: Blumhouse is still building out Five Nights at Freddy’s, where a third film is expected to shoot in 2027, and MatPat is producing a film of Amanda the Adventurer.
Home Alone, the first of the six and the game the trailer above belongs to, is also the one to start with.
