Anne Hathaway and French Women Agree: This Is *the* Prettiest Sandal Trend

Are you one of the estimated 7.5 million people who watched The Odyssey in theaters on opening weekend? If so, don’t spoil it for me. (And don’t say spoilers aren’t a thing for a nearly 3000-year-old story—I don’t remember all the details from freshman-year English class, okay!) Until I can get to a theater, I’ll have to settle for admiring The Odyssey cast’s epic press tour outfits.

Most recently, Anne Hathaway, aka the Penelope to Matt Damon’s Odysseus, was photographed in New York City wearing a colorful, quirky outfit that’s perfect for late summer, including a Stella McCartney T-shirt and striped skirt. Instead of a heavy leather bag, she chose a lightweight Prada purse in summer-ready linen. And her Aquazzura Botanica Heeled Sandals ($1220) couldn’t be cuter. Shoes embellished with 3D fruit motifs are by far the prettiest trend of summer 2026 if you ask me. When I was recently in Paris for Haute Couture Week, for instance, I spotted more than one person wearing Cult Gaia’s grape-embellished shoes (see photo below), so you know it’s a chic trend when French women approve.
