Miley Cyrus has worn countless high-leg bodysuits and designer swimsuits to promote her album “Endless Summer Vacation,” and the new music video for “Jaded” is no exception. Working with longtime stylist Bradley Kenneth and the Versace team, Cyrus initially teased the release on Instagram topless, in a pair of black Versace jeans from the Fall/Winter 2023 collection.
What followed was a series of looks that stayed on-theme — Cyrus enters the scene in a gold Norma Kamali bodysuit paired with Chanel sunglasses, and we eventually see her take a dip in the pool in a black Versace bodysuit with countless circular cutouts down the bodice and lining the hips, displaying her many tattoos. Finally, the 30-year-old musician reveals the most covetable outfit of all: a Versace beaded cone bra and knit shorts set, also hailing from Versace FW23. The architecturally alluring “bikini” top comes in a halter silhouette with the iconic house’s metal hardware finishing the strap — a recognizable detail that mirrors the design Anne Hathaway wore in the brand’s recent Icons campaign.
Meanwhile, Cyrus has also tapped into the archives for body wear that doubles as swimwear, including the white Tom Ford for Gucci one-shoulder maillot from Spring 1998 and the crimson bandeau bikini from Spring 1997, another iconic Tom Ford creation that aligns with her current aesthetic. Perhaps her most striking piece was a gold lamé thong bodysuit from Jean Paul Gaultier, crafted to look like a sleeveless button-down, which she chose to celebrate the success of her track “Flowers” in March. For her “Endless Summer Vacation” Backyard Sessions in partnership with Disney+, Cyrus wore more Tom Ford for Gucci, and even a one-legged Maison Martin Margiela catsuit. Of course, we expect she’s still not done showcasing the wardrobe she and Kenneth curated for this career-defining moment in time.
